I am passionate about delivering high quality, evidence-informed and trauma informed healthcare to people who are underserved and too often overlooked, including women and gender diverse individuals. I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported throughout their care.

ABOUT LAUREN

Lauren works with a wide range of clients, with a main focus on pelvic health. Her practice includes perinatal care, labour preparation, and return to physical activity postpartum, as well as pelvic organ prolapse, bladder and bowel dysfunction, and chronic pelvic pain. She is trained and certified to perform internal pelvic exams through extensive basic and advanced coursework with Pelvic Health Solutions and by the College of Health & Care Professionals of BC. Lauren provides care for all genders and also works extensively with seniors and individuals with complex medical histories or physical impairments that make it challenging to leave their homes. She is a trauma-informed practitioner who ensures care is individualized, compassionate, and accessible. An avid health and fitness enthusiast, Lauren comes from a competitive sports background. She grew up playing a wide variety of sports and went on to compete as a lightweight rower on the varsity women's rowing team at the University of British Columbia. She holds an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Health Science from UBC and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. Lauren founded Core Connection Mobile Physiotherapy in 2019 after feeling frustrated by the gaps in traditional brick-and-mortar physiotherapy models. Beyond her clinical work, Lauren is active in the Victoria community. She participates in recreational sports, serves on the board of the EO Vancouver Island Accelerator Program, and is a former board member of the Victoria Chapter of the Women in Leadership Foundation. I completed my Bachelors of Kinesiology at the University of the Fraser Valley in 2008 and my Masters of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia in 2010. Following that I went on to complete advanced certifications in Manual and Manipulative therapy, Gunn IMS and Pelvic Health physiotherapy. Throughout my career, I have been incredibly fortunate to learn from some exceptional mentors who have profoundly influenced how I think, treat, and connect with clients. In 2014, I opened Eclipse Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic in Langley with the goal of creating a space grounded in compassion, collaboration, and thoughtful, evidence-based care. In 2025, I expanded Eclipse Physiotherapy to a second location on Galiano Island. More recently, I have begun to shift my focus toward developing a new space dedicated to women’s health across the lifespan. I enjoy working with a wide range of clients, especially those who are seeking clarity, direction, or a different approach after previous challenges. My practice has always included a strong orthopaedic focus, but over time has naturally grown to include pelvic health as well. My approach is practical and collaborative, combining movement, hands-on treatment, and education to help things make sense and feel manageable again. I care deeply about creating a space where people feel heard, are comfortable asking questions, and leave with clear, honest guidance—whether that’s with me or by connecting them to the right supports in their community. More than anything, I want people to feel more confident and capable in their body and in their path forward. Beyond my clinical work, I’m actively involved in mentorship and teaching, supporting physiotherapists through their manual and manipulative therapy training and contributing to pelvic health education. This commitment to helping others, and to fostering connection and community, has also led me to co-found the Valley Vino Run, a local event supporting the Langley Community Health and Hospital Foundation. Outside of work, my life is full with my partner, our two kids, and our Swiss mountain dog. We love spending time at our cabin on Galiano Island—usually outside and often on the water.

WHAT CLIENTS SAY

Lauren has been fantastic. Professional, knowledgeable, and supportive as we work through both pelvic floor exercises and pregnancy‑related movement. I’d been searching for a physiotherapist who could address general pregnancy discomforts like back and hip pain, offer safe exercise and core modifications, and specialize in pelvic floor care. It was surprisingly difficult to find someone who could do all of that.

One of the biggest advantages of her home visits is being able to learn the exercises in my own space, using my own equipment, which makes it easier to remember and integrate into daily life.
