Chris has a passion for evidence-informed active rehabilitation from injuries and dysfunction, and also has a great interest in injury prevention.
Chris trained in Perth, Australia and obtained his Master of Physiotherapy in 2010. He worked in one of Perth’s premier sports clinics from 2010 until 2018. He also worked with elite sports teams, including as Head Physiotherapist with a professional netball team, with professional rugby, and with elite podium athletes with the Western Australian Institute of Sport.
In 2013 he completed his Clinical Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, looking at complex cases, higher level assessment, treatment and management, and pain neurophysiology. In 2014 he completed his Clinical Masters in Sports Physiotherapy.
On moving to Canada in 2018, Chris joined the multidisciplinary team at Fortius Sport and Health in Burnaby and has enjoyed nearly three years as Head Physiotherapist with the Canadian Women’s Rugby team.
Chris has recently moved back to Australia to work work for Western Australia Institute of Sport on a temporary contract. He is happily continuing care with ongoing Canadian clients through Full Circle Physiotherapy virtual support.
Chris’ background as a 400m runner, where he competed for over 20 years (including three National Australian Masters titles), and subsequent time as a long-course triathlete not only brings skills, experience and knowledge of running, but also ensures that he understands the needs of athletes and anyone active to realise their goals.
