Emma is strongly passionate to work with women and families in pre and post natal care and to inspire health and well-being through massage therapy. She is excited to be part of the collaborative care team at Pomegranate Community Midwives.
Her journey to become a registered massage therapist began with her interest in human anatomy and physiology and her desire to help others. She studied Human Kinetics for two years at Capilano University and then completed her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia in 2012. She then graduated from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2016.
Depending on the goal, her massage therapy treatments include Swedish massage, trigger point release, joint mobilizations and myofascial techniques. Emma has completed a continuing education course on massage therapy during the childbearing year. She is actively deepening her knowledge of maternity care, childbearing and breast health and looks to pursue continuing education courses both in Vancouver and at Douglas College. She also has a passion for working with children and has volunteered at a rural rehabilitation center for boys with Duchenne muscular dystrophy in Nepal.
Born and raised in North Vancouver, she enjoys hiking the local trails and acrylic painting.
